Objective Media Group America appoints Jilly Pearce as EVP
17 January 2017
Objective Media Group America, the US arm of the All3media Company Objective Media Group, has named Jilly Pearce as its Executive Vice-President.
Channel 4 Executive Pearce will continue OMG America’s growth, under the All3Media America banner, into unscripted and scripted territory, bringing her extensive experience in successful primetime formats and wide-ranging development knowledge to the company.
Taking up the role in the coming months, Jilly will relocate to the LA-based office and look to build on OMG America’s expanding US presence, adapting and developing reality television, entertainment and scripted formats from the Objective Media Group UK labels, Second Star, Panda Television and Objective Fiction.
Pearce said, “My time as a commissioner at Channel 4 has been an incredible experience, but I am really excited to make the move back into production and into the American market. This role is a brilliant opportunity to work with Layla, Greg and the team to continue OMG America's growth and bring the wealth of Objective's excellent UK talent and ideas to the US market.”
Pearce joins from Channel 4 where she was Formats Commissioning Editor, ordering successful primetime formats across the linear channel and its digital channel E4. Joining in 2013 she has commissioned a broad slate of series, including Virtually Famous, That’s So Last Century and How’d You Get So Rich? She was part of the commissioning team behind the upcoming Seven Year Switch and the development of Tattoo Fixers, and during her time at the channel has overseen the BAFTA award winning Made In Chelsea.
Previously Jilly was Head of TV for Pulse Films, Executive Producing Sleeping with the Family for MTV and The Inside Job for Channel 4. Prior to this she was MTV Director of Development for four years, before moving to Maverick Television as executive producer where her credits included The Model Agency for Channel 4 and MTV’s Super Sweet 16 World Class.
OMG CEO Layla Smith said, “The whole team here at OMG can't wait to start working with Jilly on our international expansion in 2017. Jilly is incredibly smart, determined and creative with commissioning and production experience. What else could we ask for in the person to lead our American business?”
All3Media America’s CEO Greg Lipstone added, “Jilly brings with her a wealth of international expertise and creative talent. She will undoubtedly hit the ground running and build upon the current success of OMG.”
