Objective Media Group partners with Film London for new return-to-work scheme for career break parents
27 March 2017
Film London has launched a return-to-work scheme for parents looking to get back into to the TV industry.
The initiative, funded by Creative Skillset’s High End TV levy, seeks five candidates with a track record in film or TV who stopped work to raise a family and are now looking to continue their careers.
Film London has partnered with Objective Media Group, as well as a number of other production companies, to offer tailored, paid, one-month ‘returnships’, which will run from April to June.
In addition to a fixed freelance daily rate, Film London will also contribute towards travel and childcare costs for the five successful applicants. The placements themselves will be augmented by training covering areas such as CV-building, the digital landscape, high-end TV tax reliefs and sustainability. Follow-up sessions for each successful candidate will also be on offer, offering further advice and, where possible, the facilitation of further opportunities. The deadline for applications is 06 April.
