Olusoga Adamo is joining Objective Media Group as its Head of Legal and Business Affairs, a role that will see OMG transition fully into a new and expanding label structure.
Taking up the position in July, Olusoga will lead the Legal and Business Affairs team, overseeing all legal, contractual, compliance and rights aspects for OMG, as well as supporting the diverse range of scripted and non-scripted productions for its three labels Second Star, Panda Television and Objective Fiction.
He said, “It was going to take an incredible opportunity for me to consider leaving ITV. The new era at Objective Media Group created such an opportunity and I'm looking forward to working with the team, the new challenges ahead and helping to continue OMG's already extensive production output.”
Currently at ITV Studios providing legal, business affairs and compliance services across various ITV production labels, Adamo is also Head of Business Affairs for So Television. Over his 17 year ITV career he has worked on a large number of productions including The Southbank Show, Come Dine With Me, Animal Cops, Dancing On Ice, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, The Big Reunion, The Graham Norton show and Autopsy. He also assisted with terms of trade negotiations for Channel 4 and Channel 5.
Objective Media Group CEO Layla Smith added, “Soga joins us with a fantastic reputation for allowing creativity to flourish with a secure legal foundation. He couldn't be a more perfect fit for OMG and we are delighted to be working with someone with such a wealth of experience. ”
Prior to joining ITV, his initial television experience was in the Commercial Rights Department at the BBC.
