Second Star's Stupid Man, Smart Phone wins International Format Award

Stupid Man, Smart Phone, made by Second Star and Kalel Productions for BBC Three and BBC Worldwide, took the Best Multi-Platform Format award at the C21 2017 International Format Awards in Cannes on Saturday 1^st April.

The Russell Kane front series saw the comedian joined by a different online superstar each episode and dropped in the wild with only a cellphone to survive. Via pioneering on-screen graphics, the idiotic adventurers harness the millions of fans on social media, and apps. But that’s not much help when starving and being chased by border guards with ferocious dogs!

Kalel CEO Nick Parnes was in Cannes to collect the award which was presented by Brooke Hogan during the MIPTV conference.
